It seemed like it was just yesterday when Blue Ivy shocked the world by appearing on stage to perform with Beyoncé. It was the renaissance world tour and people couldn’t stop talking about it.
It wasn’t just the fact that Beyoncé’s performances were amazing, from the vocal delivery to her dance moves, I mean there’s a reason why Coachella was turned into Beychella.
She gives you a run for your money. It wasn’t just the theatrics, stage production and Beyoncé’s outfit changes that gave people something to talk about. It was Blue Ivy Carter. The daughter and first born child of Beyoncé and Jayz.
Aside from the fact that people were shocked to see her on stage, her performances were deemed as “Lackluster”.
The internet got divided, one end of the spectrum saying that people shouldn’t expect much from her because she was just a child and not a professional dancer while the other end of the spectrum pointing out the privilege she had to perform in an arena, what professional dancers had to work their ass off or their entire career to be able to do.
People had mixed feelings about the situation, they were either praising or criticizing blue ivy or dragging Beyoncé, accusing her of throwing her daughter on the big stage to perform, all accusations towards Beyoncé came to a screeching halt when Beyoncé in an interview spoke out that Blue Ivy had come up to her and said she wanted to be on tour to perform.
Fast forward to 2025. Beyoncé embarked on the Cowboy Carter Tour, Blue made her comeback and she wasn’t here to play. In fact, Blue’s appearance on stage after the whole situation with the renaissance world tour is what people are talking about mostly talking about.
She looks fierce, serious and like I stated earlier on, she wasn’t here to play. Her steps and moves are done with precision, her facial expression in sync with the beat.
Blue learnt from her mistakes in her performances during the Renaissance World Tour and she worked on herself, she bettered herself and now people can’t take their eyes off her.
Identifying her errors due to the comments the internet made concerning her performance. Some people were kind with their words while others didn’t care.
All in all, she put their comments into perspective and now everyone is looking forwards to witnessing her performance at every show.
Although Beyoncé did come out to say that she never asked or told Blue to be on stage with her performing and that Blue had come to Beyoncé herself. We have people who believe that to be false and see this as Beyoncé exploiting her kid.
All in all, Blue understood the severity of it all, performing on stage in an arena to be precise and upped her game, she didn’t let the comments bring her down but rather used them as a weapon of encouragement thus pushing herself further to deliver nothing but the best on each performance.
I mean, people could feel her stage presence, it was undeniable, it was solid and it was there.
